My New Favourite Quote – Applies Nicely To My Week

S3/E06 (37:01): “Well, Conny, there are snakes that go months without eating. And then they finally catch something, but they’re so hungry that they suffocate while they’re eating. One opportunity at a time.” (Don Draper)

Some people fight and do anything to gain a swimming pool, make an extra buck more or look for awards. Eventually they suffocate themselves and/or the resources that they have to gain those material pleasures of life. Basically an over extension or what can be handled.

Focusing on fewer opportunities allows for better results, growth and resources for future opportunities. This is not to say that you shouldn’t look at future opportunities, but more to choose wisely. Do not take on more than you can handle. Quality is better than quantity, and quantity will be rewarded if well paced.

Resources can make you, but can break you if wasted or suffocated. You are as good as those who support you.
